The criminal who spread terror on the streets of delhi and was declared wanted by the court has finally been caught. The Special Staff Team of South-West district arrested Delhi's notorious gangster Hashim Baba's closest henchman and brother-in-law Mohd. Shan alias Sanjay Bhatia and broke the facade of a big gang in the capital.
This arrest made by delhi police is not only a victory of the law but also a relief for all those people who were living in fear because of this criminal. The accused was wanted in 16 serious crimes, which include serious charges like theft, arms smuggling and gangism.
Was challenging the law for 7 years
Mohd. Shan was declared a fugitive criminal by the court on 29 october 2018. Since then, he was continuously absconding and challenging the law. The special team of delhi police proved that no matter how old the crime is, its consequence is certain. According to ACP Vijay Kumar, delhi police tracked the accused through months of surveillance, secret information and technical means. Raids were conducted several times, but the accused escaped every time. Finally, these ground-level policemen laid a trap and caught him.

According to delhi police sources, Mohd. Shan was not only a criminal but a strategic player of Haseem baba gang. His arrest has given a big blow to the activities of the gang. He used to act as an informer for the gang, collect money and manage weapons.

After the arrest of Mohd. Shan, the closest henchman of notorious gangster Hashim baba, the accused was produced in the court from where he has been sent to judicial custody. The police is considering this action as a big success against organized crime.
