Fraud in the name of investment through Telegram in Delhi!
delhi police has arrested a fraudster who used to cheat people through social media platform Telegram. Accused vivek Shekhar used to receive the fraud money using online wallet and initially returned the money to innocent people and trapped them in the trap of investment. The accused was also found involved in another complaint lodged in Rajasthan. Now the accused is in the custody of cyber police.
Complainant had lodged FIR
At Dwarka police station of delhi police, complainant Shabnam alleged that she received a message of an investment scheme on the Telegram app, under which she was promised benefits at a higher interest rate. Due to this, the complainant was cheated of Rs 82 thousand. During this, he transferred the amount of 42 thousand and 40 thousand to two different accounts. After which delhi police registered an FIR.

delhi police said that during the investigation it was found that the main beneficiary of this fraud is vivek Shekhar son of ram Das resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The accused was traced on the basis of KYC details, call detail record (CDR) analysis and technical surveillance. During the investigation, a notice was sent to the accused, but he refused to join the investigation. The anticipatory bail plea of the accused was also rejected by the court. After this, a non-bailable warrant was issued against the accused. Later he was arrested.
Revelation during interrogation
According to delhi police, accused vivek Shekhar admitted that he was part of a group called paymentorder on Telegram. In this group, an account named nisha was the main operator, who used to give him instructions and share account information to transfer the amount of fraud. vivek Shekhar was the main account operator of this gang. He would first receive the amount of fraud in his wallet and then induce innocent people to invest by returning some money in the beginning. In return for this work, he got a good commission.
