Naxalites have carried out a major incident on friday (September 13) on the Sukma-Bijapur data-border of Chhattisgarh. Naxalites attacked the security forces' camp under Jagargunda police station area. It is being told that the Naxalites fired 15-20 rounds from UBGL with the intention of killing the security forces. In response to which the soldiers also fired but the Naxalites took advantage of the darkness and escaped.
At present there have been no casualties and search operation is going on in the area. According to the information, a joint camp of CRPF, DRG, STF and Cobra was recently opened in Poorvarti village of Jagargunda area. Let us tell you that this village belongs to Naxalite commander Hidma and on friday night the Naxalites attacked the camp from the forest side. The soldiers gave a befitting reply to the sudden attack of the Naxalites. According to the information, the encounter lasted for about 10-15 minutes and the Naxalites escaped.
Earlier, there was an encounter on the Dantewada-Bijapur data-border
Earlier in the beginning of September, there was an encounter between the police and the Naxalites in the forests of Lohagaon Pidia on the data-border of Dantewada-Bijapur district. There was news of 9 Naxalites being killed in this encounter. According to the information received from the police, there was an encounter between the soldiers and the PLGA Company No. 2 of the Naxalites. The soldiers killed 9 Naxalites in this encounter. SLR, 303 and 12 bore weapons were also recovered from the spot along with the bodies of the Naxalites. This was confirmed by Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav.
