Police Crack Case - Three Arrested for Robbery in Seyyar.!

The police arrested 3 people who broke the lock and stole jewelery from the house of a private company employee in Seyyar. Ganesh(33) is working in a private company in Melmaruvathur. His wife Kalaivani age 28) is working in Cheyyar Chipkat Shoe Factory. In this case, on the night of July 17, Ganesh was sleeping with his family in the upstairs room of the house. The next day at 4.30 AM, Kalaivani came downstairs to sprinkle water on the doorstep as usual. 

At that time, Kalaivani was shocked to see that the gate of the house and the lock of the main door had been  broken and the door was open. She immediately ran and told her husband Ganesh. When both of them quickly went inside the house, the bureau in the pooja room was opened and all the things in it were scattered on the floor. Ganesh immediately reported this to the Seyyar police station. Based on this complaint, Sub-Inspectors shankar and Mohan rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation.


In this investigation, 55 Pavan jewels, one and a half kg of silver items and Rs. 1.50 lakh money was stolen. Also, the police seized and analyzed the footage recorded in 5 CCTV cameras kept in the house. Following this, on the orders of the district Superintendent of police, Dr. Karthikeyan, the police were engaged in the task of searching for the criminals. 


The police arrested Selvarasu (41) from Thimmalai village of Kallakurichi district, Sudakar (27) from Chettipatti village in Thiruvannamalai district and Manikandan (37) from Chettipatti village. They also seized 17 pieces of jewelery from them. Subsequently, the police produced Selvarasu, sudhakar and Manikandan in the Seyyar criminal Court and imprisoned them in the Vellore Central Jail.
