China's illegal fishing in the indian ocean??

China is continuously catching fish illegally in the indian Ocean spread on the southern data-border of India. According to data from the Information Fusion Center indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) quoting Wion news correspondent Siddhant Sibal, there were a total of 379 cases of fishing in the sea. This data is for the year 2020, at the same time 213 such cases were reported in the first half of 2021.

China is at the forefront:

It is believed that china is at the forefront of fish products in the world. According to the most recent satellite data, Distant Water Fishing (DWF) of china has about 17000 fishing vessels that are registered in the name of china and about 1000 vessels are conveniently registered under different names. In comparison, the european union and the US have 289 and 225 fishing vessels respectively.

According to sources, the actual number of china fishing vessels could be much higher as many fishing vessels neither have any transponders nor have they registered themselves. These ships are called ghost ships.

These fishing vessels are equipped with very powerful engines and good quality refrigeration. Despite having the largest number of fishing vessels and fishing facilities in the South-East china Seas, Chinese ghost ships are frequently seen in the indian Ocean and on the African coastline.

China has invested a lot in the African country sierra leone and this country comes in Africa's richest fishing zone.
