Gang Shooting at Vancouver International Airport. Man shot dead!!

A man was shot dead at the Vancouver international airport in what appeared to be a gang-related shooting, according to police. Shortly after the 3 p.m. shooting, police stopped the alleged getaway car and came under fire from the vehicle. No police were hurt, and an undisclosed number of criminals fled. Over the last few days, there has been a slew of shootings in the Vancouver area.

Concerns regarding the fatal shooting were forwarded to the Vancouver airport Authority. Bill Blair, the minister of Public Safety, described the shooting as "disturbing" and "linked to gang activity." Big, white screens were erected in front of a door, blocking views of the shooting scene. A portion of the international and domestic exit areas was closed off by traffic cones.

The airport remained open; the cause of the shooting death was unknown at the time, and investigators are now looking for suspects. According to investigators, a man was fatally shot at the airport's departure gate, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. The shooting took place in Richmond, british Columbia, which is close by. Over the last few days, there has been a slew of shootings in the Vancouver area, including two separate daytime shooting deaths in crowded shopping malls. Both murders, according to police, were premeditated. A prison corrections officer was one of the injured.
