Sweet Potato Payasam Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups sweet potato, peeled and diced1 cup jaggery, grated or powdered (adjust to taste)1 cup thick coconut milk2 cups water1/4 tsp cardamom powder2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)8–10 cashews8–10 raisinsA pinch of saffron strands (optional)Instructions
Cook Sweet Potatoes:In a saucepan, add diced sweet potatoes and 2 cups of water.Cook on medium heat until the sweet potatoes are soft and tender.Add Jaggery:Once the sweet potatoes are cooked, add grated jaggery.Stir well until the jaggery dissolves completely.
