India's famous businessman gautam adani is currently in third place on the world's richest list but is expected to move to second place soon. Karan adani, the eldest son of gautam adani, the world's third richest man, is set to oversee adani Group's cement business. adani plans to bring in senior executives to mentor his son to grow its cement business. karan aged 35, is currently the CEO of adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. He is expected to integrate adani Group's ports and cement businesses to create an integrated logistics company.
A representative of the adani Group refused to comment on the announcement of the appointment of Adani's son karan, although it was said that it might be announced soon. But indian cement maker ACC Ltd has appointed Adani's son karan adani as chairman of its board, according to a Reuters report.
The adani group became India's second-largest cement producer last May when it acquired Ambuja Cements Ltd and ACC Ltd from Switzerland's Holcim Ltd. It is expected that the company will grow further as karan is responsible for this situation.
