Earlier, by issuing an order, the high court had sought information from the central government about the danger due to which the Ambani family has been given security. The supreme court bench has also stayed this order of the High Court. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing in the supreme court on behalf of the central government, said that the Tripura government and the Tripura high court have nothing to do in this matter.

The central government told the supreme court that this PIL has been issued with a completely wrong and frivolous. There is no infringement of any fundamental right in this matter. The central government, while presenting its stand, said that the Tripura high court did not even notice that the Ambani family is not even a resident of Tripura. In such a situation, the high court does not have the right to ask for information in this matter.
