KEJRIWAL’S POLITICAL SUICIDE: How Attacking Congress Instead of BJP Destroyed AAP Forever
While the entire opposition was trying to unite against the bigger threat of the bjp, kejriwal decided congress was his real enemy. He spent years hammering congress with every slogan, every attack line, every barb in the book — almost completely forgetting the bjp existed. He loved repeating “BJP and congress are the same,” but in practice, he targeted congress far more viciously.
Congress, obviously, hit back hard. They stopped fighting the bjp and poured everything into crushing AAP. The result? AAP got wiped out in Delhi, losing all seven lok sabha seats in 2019, while the bjp sat back and enjoyed the show.
On top of that, Kejriwal’s desperate push for rapid national expansion backfired spectacularly. AAP crashed and burned in goa (2017 & 2022), gujarat (2017 & 2022), uttarakhand (2022), and himachal pradesh (2022). The party spread itself too thin, too fast, and got punished for it.
Constant harassment from the bjp, plus these self-inflicted wounds, eventually broke the party from the inside. Raghav Chadha — AAP’s second-most important data-face — eventually betrayed the party and walked out.
The brutal reality now? AAP won’t survive in its current form unless it forms a proper, mature alliance with Congress. Kejriwal’s ego may have already sealed the party’s fate.
