BANGLADESH JUST HUMILIATED INDIA: Per Capita Income Overtake Exposes the Vishwaguru Scam

SIBY JEYYA
Bangladesh just did the unthinkable. According to fresh IMF 2026 numbers, their per capita income has edged past India’s — $2,911 to our $2,813. A country we once sent aid to, a country that didn’t even exist 55 years ago, now has the average citizen earning more than the average Indian. Any government that actually gave a damn about its people would treat this as a national emergency. Ours? They’re already changing the subject.

This single number should be ringing every alarm bell in Delhi. It’s not about total GDP data-size or flashy headlines. It’s about what lands in the average person’s pocket — jobs, wages, real income. And right now, bangladesh is quietly winning that race while we pat ourselves on the back for being “Vishwaguru.”

But watch what happens next. Godi media won’t touch it. They’ll pivot straight to pakistan threats, drag Nehru out of the grave again, fan religious flames, and argue about street food like jhalmuri. Anything to keep the conversation away from the one topic that actually matters to voters: why the hell is the average indian still struggling while our smaller neighbor pulls ahead?

The Vishwaguru script only works when nobody looks at the fine print. Shift the debate to actual livelihoods, and the entire narrative falls apart. bangladesh focused on garments, women in factories, and microcredit that reached villages. We built stadiums, launched rockets, and celebrated “growth” on paper.

This isn’t jealousy. It’s a mirror. india deserves better than distraction theatre while real incomes stagnate. The moment we force the conversation onto jobs and wages, the game changes. And that’s exactly why they’ll never let it happen.
