The world-famous Jallikattu event at Palamedu witnessed thrilling moments and intense competition as the second round concluded with remarkable performances by the bull tamers. Among them, Sinnapatti Tamilarasan emerged as the frontrunner after successfully taming six bulls, securing first place at the end of the second round.

Palamedu Jallikattu, held as part of the pongal celebrations, is known for its strict rules, skilled participants, and fierce native bulls. This year’s event drew thousands of spectators, along with officials, veterinarians, and safety personnel, ensuring the traditional sport was conducted with discipline and care. Bulls were released in batches, and only trained, registered tamers were allowed to participate.

Tamilarasan from Sinnapatti demonstrated exceptional courage, strength, and technique throughout the second round. His ability to maintain balance, grip the bull’s hump firmly, and control the animal within the designated time impressed both the judges and the audience. Taming six bulls in a single round is considered a significant achievement, highlighting his experience and physical endurance.

Several other participants also put up commendable performances, taming multiple bulls and earning applause from the crowd. However, Tamilarasan’s consistency and calm approach set him apart, giving him a clear lead as the competition progressed.

Officials stated that all safety measures were strictly followed, with medical teams on standby and veterinarians monitoring the bulls for fitness and well-being. No major injuries were reported during the second round.
