🗓️ DMK Shifts Thanjavur Women’s Conference to January 26

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party has officially postponed its “Vellum TamilPennkal” Delta‑region women’s wing conference (originally scheduled for January 19 in Sengipatti, thanjavur District) and rescheduled it to Monday, January26, 2026 at 4PM.

The party’s central leadership issued a statement saying the decision was made to ensure greater participation and to data-align the event with the schedules of senior leaders who will take part.

Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK party president M.K.Stalin is expected to deliver a special address at the conference. The event will be organized under the leadership of **DMK Deputy General Secretary and mp Kanimozhi, with senior leaders including party secretary K.N.Neru and others taking part.

Several key state ministers, MPs, MLAs, and district officials will also coordinate and participate in the conference.

This women’s conference forms part of a series of events focused on highlighting women’s empowerment and welfare programs such as the extension of the party’s flagship welfare schemes for women across tamil Nadu.
