Tamil Nadu chief minister M. K. stalin today inaugurated 15 new bus transport services in tirunelveli (Nellai), marking a significant step towards strengthening public transportation and improving connectivity for the people of the region.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that expanding and modernizing public transport is a key priority of the state government, as it directly benefits students, workers, women, senior citizens, and people from rural and semi-urban areas. He emphadata-sized that reliable and affordable bus services play a crucial role in promoting social equity and economic development.

The newly launched bus routes are expected to improve access between tirunelveli city and surrounding towns and villages, reducing travel time and easing commuting challenges. Officials stated that the services have been planned based on public demand and regional transport needs, ensuring better last-mile connectivity.

Chief minister M. K. stalin also highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by the DMK government to strengthen the transport sector, including the introduction of free bus travel for women, fleet modernization, and enhanced safety measures. He noted that these initiatives have significantly improved mobility and livelihood opportunities across the state.
