BJP Government Is Misusing Central Agencies, Alleges Chief Minister M.K. Stalin

Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK President M.K. stalin has accused the BJP-led Union government of misusing central investigative agencies for political purposes. He alleged that institutions meant to function independently are being systematically used to target opposition parties and leaders.

In a strongly worded statement, M.K. stalin said agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax Department are being deployed as tools to intimidate political opponents and weaken democratic dissent. He claimed that this trend poses a serious threat to the federal structure of the country and undermines the spirit of the Constitution.

The chief minister emphadata-sized that democracy can function effectively only when institutions remain autonomous and impartial. He warned that selective action against opposition-ruled states and leaders erodes public trust in governance and damages India’s democratic foundations.

Stalin also asserted that the DMK and other opposition parties would continue to raise their voices against what he termed “authoritarian practices” of the bjp government. He called upon democratic and secular forces across the country to unite in safeguarding constitutional values, federalism, and the rights of states.

Political observers see the Chief Minister’s remarks as part of a broader national debate over the role and independence of central agencies. The statement is expected to resonate strongly among opposition parties, especially in the context of increasing confrontations between the Union government and opposition-ruled states.
