Using sigmoidoscopy, doctors at a private hospital in delhi were able to extract a moisturizing bottle that had become stuck in a young woman's gut without the need for surgery. Out of sexual curiosity, the 27-year-old patient had stuck the bottle into her intimate areas, where it became stuck.

The woman was sent to the hospital's emergency room after experiencing a stomach ache and not passing stool for two days after the incident.  When questioned, she acknowledged that she had inserted the bottle for intercourse two days earlier.

The hindi newspaper amar Ujala reported that the patient first went to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals tried to remove the device but were unsuccessful. The bottle was later discovered stuck in the upper rectum via an abdominal X-ray. She was quickly referred for a nighttime surgical examination due to the possibility of intestinal perforation and her worsening health.

The procedure was carried out by the medical team, which included an anesthetist, Dr. prashant Agrawal, and Drs. tarun Mittal, ashish Dey, Anmol Ahuja, and Shreyas Manglik. Without making any abdominal incisions, they were able to successfully remove the intact bottle using sigmoidoscopy, a less invasive procedure that sped up recovery and decreased postoperative pain.

After making considerable progress, the patient was released the next day.  Dr. Ahuja emphadata-sized how crucial it is to act quickly in these situations in order to avoid potentially fatal bowel perforations.  "Endoscopic techniques like sigmoidoscopy and laparoscopy allow safe management of such foreign bodies," he said.
