Anna University séx assault accused guilty on all charges
The suspects in the sexual assault case at anna university were found guilty by a chennai Mahila Court. On Wednesday, the court declared that Gnanasekaran's accusations were all proven.

He allegedly recorded the encounter on camera and blackmailed the two, according to the authorities. Later, the Greater chennai police detained him and imprisoned him.

Gnanasekaran had already petitioned to be released from the case, arguing that his arrest was based on suspicion and that there was no proof against him. The court heard arguments from both parties after tamil Nadu police filed a counterpetition.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was established to look into the matter at the direction of the madras High Court. Later, the Mahila court received a chargesheet from the SIT. Now, he has asked for a lighter sentence, pointing to his mother's ailing condition. On june 2, the court will determine the appropriate sentence.
