A massive fire broke out in the Naaz Hotel located in the Diggi Bazaar area of the city this morning. At the time of the fire, many pilgrims and other people were staying in the hotel. As soon as the fire was reported, many people tried to jump out of the windows to save their lives.
A tragic accident took place in the Diggi Bazaar area of Ajmer this morning. A massive fire broke out in the Naaz Hotel located here at around 8 am. By the time the pilgrims staying in the hotel could understand anything, the flames had engulfed the entire building. The fire spread so fast that people did not even get a chance to escape. In the screams, struggle to save lives, and chaos everywhere, people also tried to jump from the windows to save their lives.
Fire brigade vehicles could not reach this five-story hotel located in narrow streets on time and reached with a delay of half an hour. By then it was too late. During the rescue operation, many firemen and policemen also fainted due to smoke and heat.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police force including Additional Superintendent of police Himanshu Jangid reached the spot, and relief and rescue work was started. This accident has once again raised big questions on hotel safety standards because Naz Hotel neitherhad adequate fire fighting equipment norany emergency plan.
