Big relief..!! LPG cylinder price slashed..!?
Cooking gas (LPG) prices in india have been fluctuating. This has a direct impact on the expenses of the public and businesses. Especially, since restaurants, hotels, small-scale food processing companies, etc. are heavily dependent on LPG, any change in prices changes their expenses. In this situation, oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reduced the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs. 41 from april 1, 2025. This change may be a partial relief for many businesses. However, due to the price hikes in the past months, businesses will not be able to realize the full benefit of this immediately. Based on the information released by OMCs, commercial LPG cylinder prices have been reduced in major cities. delhi - Rs. 1,762 (previous price Rs. 1,803), kolkata - Rs. 1,872 (previous price Rs. 1,913), mumbai - Rs. 1,714.50 (previous price Rs. 1,755.50), chennai - Rs. 1,924.50 (previous price Rs. 1,965.50), this price change provides a small relief to the commercial sector. Already in March, commercial LPG prices were increased by Rs. 6. Before that, it was reduced by Rs. 7 in February.
This is seen as good news for home consumers. Since domestic LPG prices are subsidized by the central government, they do not change as frequently as commercial cylinder prices. This is seen as a benefit to the public. There is a possibility that the prices of food items in restaurants will not increase. Small businesses will be able to reduce their costs to a certain extent. LPG price changes are subject to change based on international market conditions. If global oil prices increase, LPG prices will also increase. If the government subsidizes LPG prices, this can help control the price increase. There is a possibility of further price changes in the coming months. Since the price of cylinders for domestic cooking has not changed, the public can be confident of cooking without any disruption. There is an expectation that the government may provide tax incentives to deal with the fluctuation in LPG prices in India. This may lead to a better financial situation for businesses and the public in the future.
