Janardan Yadav, the national vice president of the Samajwadi Shikshak Sabha (Teachers' Association) and a school manager in Ballia, sexually assaulted a teenage girl who traveled from Ghazipur to take the 10th board test.

The victim's uncle said, "The room is close to the school's entrance gate."

The police acted right away and filed a rape case against the defendant under the BNS Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. On march 17, the police transported the girl to the district hospital for a medical examination, according to Superintendent of police (SP) Omvir Singh.
