Videos of dhanush at Prabhu Deva's first-ever dance concert in chennai yesterday are becoming viral on social media, and the internet community is reacting negatively to them.  Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), his third directing endeavor, was released on december 21st and was well appreciated by viewers.  But in spite of this, the movie isn't doing well at the box office.  NEEK is having trouble in the majority of B and C centers, where it is almost a washout, with the exception of Chennai.

Many internet users hold dhanush accountable for the movie's failure, claiming that his participation in promotional efforts was essential given that NEEK has a cast of up-and-coming stars.  They think the movie may have done better at the box office if dhanush had aggressively marketed it.  However, his supporters spoke up for him, claiming that he was unable to attend NEEK's promos because he had other filming obligations.

At the same time, the movie also receive mixed reviews and fans say No to the sequel. Even his admirers were taken aback by Dhanush's attendance at Prabhu Deva's dance extravaganza, and many are now wondering what his priorities are.  Why didn't he find time to promote his own movie if he had time for the event?  Is he avoiding NEEK on purpose?  If so, why did he first choose to direct a movie starring up-and-coming actors?  In the meantime, NEEK may lose screens next week when Dragon becomes a hit.  The performance of NEEK in the upcoming days is yet unknown.
