Jayamurugan is the producer of the film Sindhubadh starring Mansoor ali Khan. After this film failed, he entered the field as a director. The first film he directed was Roja Malare. This film, starring Murali, was released in 1997 and was a success. Despite his failure as a producer, T.M. Jayamurugan, who tasted success in his first film as a director, followed this by directing films like Purushan Enaku Arasan, Thee Ivan, and Adada Enna Azhagu.
