Why TN government did not announce Rs 1000 cash..!?
Important information has been released about why the tamil Nadu government has not announced the pongal Gift Package with Rs. 1000 Cash. Although the tamil Nadu government has announced the pongal Gift Package, it has not provided Rs. 1000 Cash. Important information has been released about why that is. As the pongal festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm in tamil Nadu, the tamil Nadu government will provide a pongal Gift Package and a thousand rupees in cash every year. This amount was being given every year after the Corona pandemic. Even after the DMK government took charge, a thousand rupees were given along with the pongal Gift Package.
But the tamil Nadu government, which announced the pongal Gift this year, did not announce the thousand rupees in cash. The question is why is that? In fact, the pongal gift package is given only to rice ration card holders. About 2.20 crore ration card holders are receiving this pongal gift. The token distribution for this also started on january 3. The distribution of pongal gifts to ration card holders is going to start from january 9. One kilo of rice, whole sugarcane, and sugar are being given in this pongal gift package. Along with this, a free dhoti and saree are going to be given. But will a thousand rupees be given? If so, then that announcement is unlikely to be made in the current environment. In the explanation given by Finance minister Thangam Thennarasu regarding this, tamil Nadu has recently data-faced major disasters. The central government has not provided any funds to deal with those disasters. Due to this, he said that a thousand rupees in cash is not included in the pongal gift package. Through this explanation, it has been confirmed that there is no possibility of giving a thousand rupees in cash along with the pongal gift package. At the same time, ration card holders are receiving a monthly amount of Rs. 1,000 through the Kalaignar's Right Amount Scheme. In addition to the Rs. 1,000 per year, the tamil Nadu government is providing Rs. 12,000 per year through this scheme.
The pongal gift package is also provided to the same beneficiaries. Therefore, the same beneficiaries are receiving financial assistance under two different schemes of the tamil Nadu government. If the financial situation was better, the tamil Nadu government would not have stopped providing this Rs. 1,000 cash.
