He said that a message has been sent to the indian government through diplomatic channels to send back former Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
He also made it clear that if she comes to their country, they want to prosecute her. Therefore, they also said that they demanded that she return to Bangladesh. On the other hand, on october 17 this year, the international Crimes Tribunal in bangladesh issued an arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina. The bangladesh government has said that immediate steps will be taken to implement this order. Not only that, bangladesh is saying that they want Sheikh Hasina to be extradited to their country only as per the mutual extradition agreements between India. According to this extradition agreement, criminals can be extradited between the two countries. This agreement was signed between the then UPA government and the bangladesh government in 2013. At that time, Sheikh Hasina was the prime minister of Bangladesh. And now they are showing the same agreement and demanding that she be sent to Bangladesh. However, they say that in this extradition agreement, only criminals who have committed murders and other atrocities should be extradited. Apart from that, they say that this extradition agreement does not apply to those facing political crimes or charges. They say that the respective countries can also specify the circumstances in which someone cannot be extradited according to Article 6 of the agreement. And according to this, they say that india may not send Sheikh Hasina back. Today, bangladesh is spewing venom in India. Hasina's rule had good relations with India.
