Record Breaking - Cold wave reaches Hyderabad!There have been cold wave conditions in a number of regions of the nation, including Jammu & kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The air Quality Index (AQI) has fallen to the "severe" level once more across Rajasthan, Punjab, telangana, odisha, and Delhi, necessitating the reinstatement of Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) regulations. With the majority of the districts experiencing minimum temperatures below 10° Celsius for the last three days, telangana is experiencing extreme cold wave conditions. Compared to the previous days, when just five to ten districts saw such low temperatures, this is a significant decline.The state's lowest temperature this morning was 6.3 degrees Celsius in Tandra village in nirmal district, while the lowest temperature in Pochara of adilabad was 6.4 degrees Celsius, according to data from the telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).In hyderabad West Marredpally, the lowest recorded minimum temperature was 9.9 degrees Celsius. When lowest temperatures in more than 15 of the 33 districts consistently fell below 10 degrees Celsius for three days, MET officials issued a cold wave alarm.Some telangana locations, including hyderabad, experienced cold wave conditions as temperatures in some areas dropped to single digits on Monday, while 15 locations in the eastern state of odisha recorded temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature in the state was recorded at 1 degree Celsius in Similipal National Park in the Mayurbhanj district.The minimum temperature in telangana was 5.2 degrees Celsius in adilabad, followed by patancheru near hyderabad (6.4), Rajendranagar in hyderabad (8.5), and medak (9), according to the Met Center of IMD's Daily Weather Report, which cited data collected at 08.30 am on Monday.
