The 100-foot wide road is to be widened to 120 feet. The government has allocated Rs. 150 crore for road widening, including the balaji temple junction. Officials plan to complete these works soon. A series of flyovers are coming up at Jubilee Checkpoint. The flyover from chiranjeevi Blood bank towards Road No. 45 will have 2 lanes on the upper part. The 4-lane flyover from KBR Park towards Road No. 36 will go down. Officials say that all obstacles in this regard have been removed. However, many have approached the National Green Tribunal saying that the construction of tunnels and flyovers will affect the greenery of KBR Park. Officials say that the work will be carried out without any damage and if trees have to be removed, they will be replanted at another place.
