What claim did Akhilesh Yadav make in the House?
Samajwadi party (SP) President akhilesh yadav on friday (December 13) accused the government of violating the secular values of the Constitution and claimed that efforts are being made to make the minorities of the country, especially Muslims, second class citizens. While participating in the discussion on '75 years of glorious journey of the Constitution of India' in the Lok Sabha, he also said that if this government does not conduct caste census, then the people sitting in the opposition will definitely get it done if they come to power.

He claimed, "Efforts are being made to make the minorities of the country and especially Muslims second class citizens, they are being attacked, property is being damaged." Yadav said, "Now there is a problem even in worship because the elements who find a temple under every mosque do not want to let this country live in peace. They do not care about the law. I want to thank the supreme court that at least a decision has come which has stopped these for a few days.''

The SP leader claimed that such incidents were deliberately done at many places in Uttar Pradesh and people were prevented from voting during the assembly by-elections. He took a dig at the absence of prime minister Narendra Modi in the house during the discussion on the Constitution, "What kind of discussion is this about the Constitution, which is without the Prime Minister." Yadav said that the Constitution has kept this diverse country together. He said that the Constitution is the biggest protector of 90 percent of the oppressed and exploited people. Yadav said that for the 'PDA' (backward, Dalit minority), the Constitution is a matter of life and death.

The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, referring to the law and order of the state, said, "The situation in the country is something that no one has ever seen before. The law is being flouted from time to time. And our state is leading in cases of custodial deaths and harassment of women." Yadav claimed that Uttar Pradesh is leading in cyber crime.
