However, the vote on the impeachment motion was held two days later. However, he narrowly escaped this crisis. However, the opposition parties were furious over the imposition of martial law, and cases were filed against him. This is the first time in South Korean history.
Moreover, the Prime Minister's office has ordered an inspection of the presidential palace. Immediately after that, when the regular police tried to enter his office last night, a scuffle broke out between the presidential palace security personnel and the police. As a result, searches were conducted in the Civil service office in the presidential palace and key documents were seized. Currently, treason cases have been registered against several officials (those who collaborated with him), including President Yoon. On the other hand, several officials close to President Yoon have resigned. Meanwhile, the police have arrested Defense minister Kim Yong-Hyun, who is accused of being the reason for imposing ‘martial law’. As a result, he attempted suicide in his prison cell on tuesday night. However.. he was stopped by the police. The opposition parties, which had vowed to remove President Yonhap from office, have now once again introduced an impeachment motion against him. The main opposition Democratic party has once again introduced an impeachment motion in Parliament. It will be discussed on Thursday. It is noteworthy that South Korean media has stated that there is a possibility of the President fleeing the country in this context.
