Kanguva to go to OTT due to a lack of reception in theaters..!?
Kanguva, a film directed by Siruthai Siva starring Suriya as the hero, is likely to go to OTT due to a lack of reception in theaters. Kanguva is one of the most anticipated films in tamil cinema in 2024. Kanguva, directed by Siruthai Siva and starring actor Suriya, was released on november 14 after two years of hard work. Kanguva was released on a grand scale as tamil cinema's first pan-India film. It was expected that Kanguva would be Kollywood's first thousand-crore-grossing film. But all that fell to dust on the first day of the film's release. The film Kanguva, which was released amidst high expectations, was heavily criticized for its boring screenplay. Apart from that, fans also complained that the loud sound throughout the film was causing earache. The reason why the film data-faced so much criticism and trolls is because of the buildup given by the film crew before its release.
Actor Suriya in particular had said that the film would be like fire. Going a step further, producer Gnanavel raja had said that they expected the film to collect Rs 2000 crores. Apart from that, during the audio launch of the film, he had invited the fans present there to come and attend the success ceremony of the film Kanguva in december at the same Nehru Stadium, so come and attend with this entry ticket. Fans went to watch the film believing all this. But they were upset and trolled severely because the film did not live up to the hype they had given. The film Kanguva was made on a budget of around Rs 350 crore. But Kanguva, which made good collections on the first day of its release in theaters, suffered a severe decline in the following days. Due to this, Kanguva has been removed from most theaters within a week.

Instead, the film Rirangal Moondru, which has been released this week, is being screened as it is receiving a good response. The film Kanguva, which was washed out in theaters, has no other option but to be sent to OTT. It is said that the film will be released in other languages, except the hindi version, in the second week of December. Only the hindi version will be released in january next year. It is noteworthy that amazon Prime has bought the OTT rights of the film for Rs 100 crore.
