Apart from Edharkum Thunindhavan and Pasanga 2, all the films he acted in were directed by different directors. Those are films directed by famous directors. His choice of story is one of the main reasons why Suriya could not achieve success despite working with 9 famous directors in a row. Otherwise, even if he gives his 100 percent in acting, no film will be made if there is no story. The best example of that is the recent release of his film Kanguva. Suriya worked hard for 2 years for this film. His fans have been saddened by the fact that his hard work has not been rewarded. Like Suriya, his fans are also waiting for him to reach success with his 44th film which will be released next year.
