The movie is directed by koratala siva who is a leading commercial director in the telugu film industry. kollywood rockstar Anirudh composed the music for the film. Actress Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor has made her debut as a heroine in the South indian film industry with Devara. Sridevi, who has only acted in telugu films so far, is acting in a South indian film for the first time. It is said that actress janhvi kapoor was paid Rs 5 crore to act in the film as it was made into a Pan india film. The movie Devara hit the screens last September.
Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan is also releasing on the same day on the OTT platform to compete with Devara. Vettaiyan will be released on november 8 on the amazon Prime OTT platform.
