Unable to Face Trolls, Director Goes Missing

G GOWTHAM
After receiving criticism for supporting his most recent picture, Jigra, which has done poorly at the box office, director Vasan bala deleted his X account. The movie, which starred alia bhatt, has had trouble drawing viewers and has only made ₹25 crore out of its ₹80 crore budget.

Vasan said in an interview that he doesn't see box office receipts as the only indicator of success. Many social media users attacked him when he backed Jigra, labeling him "arrogant" for failing to recognize the film's terrible results. Following the critical remarks, Vasan's X account was closed, leaving behind a blank page and blank responses to his earlier posts. This action generated more debate, and many people supported him.

Some argued that he shouldn't be held exclusively responsible for the movie's failure because alia bhatt and producer karan johar were highly featured in its promotion. Even though he was not the only one engaged in the film's advertising, they contended that he was unjustly left to deal with the criticism on his own after it failed to live up to expectations. Jigra is yet another unsuccessful attempt by karan johar, who has failed to produce a single widespread hit in the years after the epidemic.
