Indian Media is a Complete Circus - India is Strong than China because PM Modi gets off the Plane without support

The indian media, particularly television news channels like Aaj Tak, have increasingly been criticized for sensationalism and trivializing important issues. A recent example involved the channel highlighting prime minister Narendra Modi’s physical ability to disembark from a plane without assistance while contrasting it with the Chinese Premier who appeared to require support.

This piece of news was widely trolled across social media for its absurdity, as many argued that focusing on such superficial aspects of a leader’s strength is reflective of the declining quality of indian news reporting. This type of coverage undermines the importance of critical discourse on real issues that affect the country.

The trolling that followed reflects the growing frustration among viewers regarding the state of indian news media. Rather than focusing on India's pressing challenges, such as economic development, poverty reduction, and social welfare, segments of the media seem to prioritize trivial matters to generate headlines.

The real measure of a leader's strength, as critics have pointed out, lies in the nation's achievements—such as improving the per capita income, strengthening the economy, or enhancing the overall quality of life for citizens—rather than in symbolic gestures like getting off a plane unassisted. This obsession with appearances detracts from the substantive debates and reporting that the public needs.

Ultimately, the incident illustrates the clownish state of some indian news channels, where sensationalism often overshadows meaningful journalism. Instead of holding those in power accountable for policies and governance, certain media outlets are accused of pandering to hyper-nationalist sentiments or superficial displays of power. This contributes to a media landscape that increasingly serves entertainment rather than information, leaving citizens less informed about the critical issues that shape their lives and the future of the country.
