AP government has finalized the new liquor policy in the United State of andhra pradesh with a time limit of two years. It is noteworthy that the notification regarding this has already been released and steps are being taken towards issuing liquor licenses to a total of 3396 shops. The process of receiving applications for this has started from yesterday morning and there are opportunities to apply online or offline. A person can make any number of applications and will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 2 lakh per application. Investors should be careful as this amount is non-refundable.
The application fee can be paid through debit, credit cards, or bank challan. DD should be paid directly at Excise Stations. The process will start on the 11th of this month. It can be said that there will be opportunities for the licensees to open new shops from the 12th of this month. License fees for setting up liquor shops have been finalized in four slabs depending on the population of the area. The license fee is Rs 50 lakh in areas with a population of less than 10,000 and Rs 85 lakh in areas with a population of more than 5 lakh. In the second year, these fees will be increased by 10 percent. It seems that the people of ap will benefit from the new liquor policy.
