Navya Naveli Nanda Responds to Trolling Over IIM ahmedabad Admission


Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of amitabh bachchan, addressed the social media trolling she has data-faced since her admission to IIM Ahmedabad. Speaking at the india Today mumbai Conclave 2024, she shared her mixed feelings about social media, recognizing both its opportunities and its challenges.
“Social media has been an amazing platform, giving many people a voice who might not have had such reach before,” Navya said during the session titled ‘Beyond the Legacy: Gen Z for a Just and Equal India.’ She highlighted the potential of social media to drive change, noting, “It’s a fantastic tool that can bring about significant change when used effectively.”
Reflecting on her educational journey, she expressed gratitude for attending IIM ahmedabad, stating, “India has some of the best institutions globally, and being at IIM ahmedabad is truly incredible. I feel fortunate to learn from some of the finest professors.”
Navya, also known for her social initiative Project Naveli, emphadata-sized the importance of public feedback. “If I’m working for the people, I can’t let their opinions offend me. Feedback is crucial for my growth as a person, entrepreneur, and Indian,” she explained.
Acknowledging her privileged background, she said, “I recognize that I come from a different reality, and people will have their opinions about that.” Despite the criticism, she remains focused on her personal and professional aspirations, asserting, “My responsibility is to my work and self-improvement.”
“I don’t dwell on negative comments; I use them to fuel my journey,” she concluded.
