The report that ayodhya recorded 11 crore tourist footfalls in the first six months of 2024 is not accurate. According to the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, ayodhya experienced an extraordinary surge in visitors, attracting 10.99 crore tourists, including both domestic and international visitors. This significant rise is attributed to the installation of the ram Lalla idol at the Shri ram Janmabhoomi temple, which has further enhanced the city's appeal as a major spiritual and cultural destination.

The overall tourist influx to Uttar Pradesh also reached new heights, with 33 crore visitors across the state, making ayodhya the most popular destination, surpassing even Varanasi. Other cities like Prayagraj, Mathura, and agra also witnessed millions of visitors during this period.

One of the users commented, "Has anyone done computations ? This amounts to over 6 lakhs a day, and over 30K per hour. Which is about 6 Times more than tirupati ...". Another commented, "If the need to exaggerate is so great then at least make it believable not like this", another user commented, “Lie until even you believe it - that's the real secret of lying.” The notable comment reads, "That's around 6.1 lakh people per day and 30,000 people per hour assuming temple is open for 20 hours. In comparison, Tirupathi receives around 80k-1 lakh people per day. Moral of the story: When you lie, make the lie BIG."
