Negative Feedback for Devara ? Not an Issue ?

G GOWTHAM
The Devara video has elicited a range of responses, from positive to negative, now that the dust has fallen. But if we look at the event film trend, the first trailer for nearly all high-profile movies elicits comparable responses. For example, the first trailer had mixed, even negative, reaction, so the Salaar team had to release two. However, the second trailer helped the movie and brought prabhas a lot of success.

Another example from recently is kalki 2898 AD by Prabhas. Many people were critical of the first video's visual effects when it was published, but the team responded better with a second, more action-packed clip. Returning to Devara, there is little reason for fear based on the first mixed reaction to the trailer. The film has a big budget, an unusual (water-based) location, and spectacular action scenes—a combination that usually draws crowds to cinemas. Similar instances that did well at the movie office despite conflicting reviews are Salaar and kalki 2898 AD.

The Devara crew is not concerned by the current trailer responses at this time, but we'll have to wait and see how the theatrical response turns out.
