IndiGo Flight to Doha Cancelled After 5-Hour Delay, Passengers Protest at Mumbai Airport
An indigo flight (6E 1303) from mumbai to Doha was cancelled early sunday morning, september 15, after experiencing a prolonged delay due to technical issues. Passengers were reportedly stuck inside the aircraft for nearly five hours, leading to significant unrest at the airport.
Scheduled to depart at 3:55 AM, the flight data-faced multiple delays. Approximately 250 to 300 passengers were eventually asked to deboard and were then moved to the immigration waiting area at mumbai Airport.
An indigo spokesperson confirmed that flight 6E 1303 was delayed due to technical problems and issued an apology for the inconvenience. The spokesperson explained that the aircraft attempted to depart several times but was ultimately cancelled due to prolonged procedural delays. Passengers are being provided with hotel accommodations and rebooked on alternative flights, the spokesperson added.
In a separate incident on Saturday, passengers on a SpiceJet flight from delhi to Darbhanga, Bihar, were frustrated when their flight was cancelled just five minutes before boarding. Passengers, who were already lined up to board SpiceJet flight SG 495, had a heated exchange with airline staff. Frequent flyers on the Delhi-Darbhanga route reported that cancellations have become increasingly common in recent weeks, causing ongoing inconvenience.
