Rajasthan: RALSA has issued a new guideline…?

rajasthan State Legal services Authority has issued a guideline for quick disposal of almost all cases of bone fracture in motor accidents. Under the direction of its Executive Chairman and Justice Pankaj Bhandari, RALSA has held detailed discussions with senior officials and advocates of nationalized and non-nationalized insurance companies. After that, with changes in the guidelines issued in the year 2017 as well as 2021, a detailed 'Guideline-2024' has been issued for quick disposal of cases of dependents of the injured and deceased person in motor accident cases. According to the new guideline, in almost all cases of bone fracture in motor accidents, including loss of vision, loss of jaw and dental number and bone fracture of the head, fracture of all such bones which are visually necessary for human movement. Detailed categories have been recommended through the guideline, including wrist, elbow and knee etc.

Relief to dependents of the deceased

In the same sequence, the earlier lump sum amount on the process of permanent disability and the amount received on the percentage of disability has also been increased from about Rs 10 thousand to Rs 20 thousand. The earlier guidelines did not include the elements of all types of physical damage. According to Hariom Atri, Member Secretary of RALSA, the cases filed by the dependents of the deceased have also been increased and the recommendation has been made through the guideline that the compensation amount on the death of a person working in the private sector or a housewife should be determined on the annual minimum wage rate prevalent by the rajasthan State Labor Department. The latest parameters quoted by the supreme court have also been included in the new guideline.

Dependents of the deceased will get relief

Special Secretary in charge of Lok Adalats on behalf of RALSA, Purushottam Lal saini said that on the basis of the approved latest guidelines, there is a possibility of unprecedented success in getting quick benefits and more compensation amount than before to the dependents of the injured and deceased in motor accidents.
