Manvat Murders - Looks Spooky & Suspenseful

G GOWTHAM
Over the years, there has been a growing connection between india and the horror genre. It became particularly well-known in the 1980s and 90s when the Ramsay Brothers introduced the scariest movies with a dash of glitz. Purana Mandir, Saamri, Veerana, Tahkhana, and a long list of others were among them.

At one time, the popularity of these movies started to decline, then vikram bhatt took over. However, as modernity has swept the globe, filmmakers are increasingly infusing this genre with aspects of mystery, suspense, and comedy; this is partly due to Hollywood, which pioneered the formula many years ago. The best illustration is found in Virupaksha, which has an unexpected ending.

This does not imply, however, that the business is not focused on making powerful and serious horror movies. OTT platforms are now adjusting to it as well. While Nikkhil Advani's Adhura failed to make an impression last year, a new Marathi series called Manvat Murders is set to premiere on sony LIV shortly. With a stellar ensemble that includes well-known names like Sonali Kulkarni and sai tamhankar, the show's teaser is already giving us the creeps as we speak. To cut down on misunderstandings, let me clarify right away that the central idea will be around unsolved homicides.

We may expect some suspenseful moments in the program along with some shocking revelations, as it is based on actual murders that took place in maharashtra in the 1970s. The early photos suggested that the occurrences may be connected to black magic. However, confirmation of this won't come until the movie's premiere. There are various scenes where young girls are abducted after this. Next up is DCP Ramakant Kulkarni, who is played by none other than the talented filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker.

There have been seven killings in the last eighteen months, according to a voiceover. As the film goes on, we see the police rounding up the suspects and conducting an investigation. There are also some graphic scenes. Regarding Sonali Kulkarni, it appears that a great deal of information regarding her persona is being withheld for the time being.

However, it is anticipated that the gifted actress will take on a new part this time around—possibly one that we have never seen before. sai tamhankar is meant to have a significant role in the plot, despite not having many scenes in the preview. The performance will be streamable in several additional languages in addition to Marathi. It is helmed by ashish avinash Bende and is scheduled to premiere on october 4, 2024.
