It is very difficult to become a female naga Sadhu, they have to do such terrible things while alive! A community of saints and sadhus is known as the naga Sadhus. The fact that they continue to be nude is evident from naga Sadhu's moniker. Similar to men, there are female naga Sadhus, although they are subject to somewhat different regulations.
• Mahila naga Sadhus are female ascetics who belong to the naga sect of Sadhus, known for their fierce and austere practices.
• They renounce worldly life and dedicate themselves to spiritual pursuits, often living in isolation or in ashrams.
• Mahila naga Sadhus are known for their distinctive appearance, which includes shaving their heads, wearing saffron robes, and applying ash or vermilion to their bodies.
• They undergo rigorous spiritual practices, such as meditation, yoga, and chanting, to attain spiritual enlightenment.
• Mahila naga Sadhus often participate in the Kumbh Mela, a massive Hindu pilgrimage, where they take a holy dip in sacred rivers and perform rituals.
• Despite facing challenges and discrimination, Mahila naga Sadhus has gained recognition and respect for their spiritual dedication and courage.
•Their lifestyle is a testament to their unwavering commitment to their spiritual path and their desire to transcend worldly attachments.
Female naga Sadhus do not stay nude, just like males do. Instead, they don an unstitched ochre-colored fabric. Ganti is the name of it. A female naga Sadhus may only wear one article of clothing. They also wear dreadlocks and apply Tilak.
These ladies must undergo rigorous penance and sadhana to become naga Sadhus. They live in caves, jungles, mountains, etc., and practice sadhana by being fully engrossed in their adoration of God.
