There is now light on another fraud that occurred in Mumbai. For many years, a sizable bar in mumbai has been defrauding men of their money through a scheme. Dating applications like Tinder and Bumble are used to trick the victims, and it is said that women are used in this scam to defraud the men of their money.
This bar provides women with free lodging and everyday expenditures (with bills that exceed $50,000), but they also match them with guys from dating websites, so in a single evening, they essentially steal a large sum of money. Usually, the ladies receive between 15 and 20 percent of the entire cost.
An industry source participating in a similar operation said the network has an IT unit that modifies the women's profiles on a regular basis. The women used to spend the evening ordering pricey dishes and beverages, which added up to a substantial tab. Following concerns over the whole billing procedure and this fraud, an investigation was conducted and the scam was exposed in the open. This fraud has more than 12 victims, and in one instance, a single lady managed to trick three males.
