The terror of Naxalites in Sukma, chhattisgarh is not decreasing. Naxalites are now killing minors here as well. Two days before Independence Day, Naxalites killed a minor boy in Purvarti village under Jagargunda police station on suspicion of being an informer. police said that the victim has been identified as Soyam Shankar.
Sukma Superintendent of police Kiran Chavan said that the minor is 16 years old and he studied in a government school in Palnar area of Dantewada district. About a week ago, after the death of a female member of the family, he came to Purvarti. During this time, the Naxalites killed him. He said that the preliminary investigation shows that the Naxalites killed the minor on suspicion of being a police informer.
Was the elder brother killed a few days ago?
At the same time, the SP said that it is being told that Shankar's elder brother Soyam Sitaram (19) was also brutally murdered by Naxalites in the same village 5-6 days ago. The family had cremated him. However, this information has not been confirmed yet. The SP said that Shankar's family has left the village and gone somewhere else due to fear of Naxalites. After receiving information about the murder, a police team reached the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem.
According to PTI news agency, Puvarti is the home village of Naxalite leader and former commander of Maoists' PLGA Battalion Number One Hidma and current commander Barse Deva. Maoists' People's Liberation Guerrilla army (PLGA) Battalion Number One has been involved in many deadly attacks in South Bastar. The police set up their camp in Puvarti in february this year.
