Telangana Secretariat - Female housekeeping staff allege ill-treatment
The problem arose from a modification in the responsibilities assigned to employees by floor supervisors. The supervisors' use of language incited demonstrations since there were some issues between the personnel and the supervisors.
The managers' repeated use of foul language, according to the female personnel, was a source of complaint. While making them labour, they have been calling them things like "use her," "Madigas talk too much," "mundas," "moosko," and even worse.
"When I enlisted in the army under Chandrababu Naidu's administration, my pay was only Rs 50. I've been employed here for twenty-five years. The supervisor advises me to go because I'm too old, even though I'm fifty years old. "Am I not allowed to work until I turn 50?" enquired a female employee.
Another woman reported that her bangles were taken off because the supervisor didn't like them.
All of their complaints were heard by the secretariat administration, which also requested a written statement from them and set up a meeting with the relevant personnel. The employees received assurances that their problems would be fixed.
