Rat infestation found in raids at chat bhandar in Hyderabad

The telangana department in charge of food safety conducted raids on Begum Bazar restaurants, including a chat bhandar. The Hyderabadi chat bhandar in Begum Bazar was searched by the food safety authorities. An infestation of live rats was discovered next to shyam Singh Chat Bhandar, where food was being cooked. Several more infractions were discovered by the task force at the Chat Bhandar, which is situated in a prominent area of Begum Bazar.
 

The task force stated that "the FBO obtained an FSSAI registration certificate in lieu of a state licence, despite his sales exceeding the prescribed limit."
 
The task team discovered that the Chat Bhandar was using artificial food colouring to make masala water for Pani Puri. After then, the materials were disposed of.
 
Food items such as noodles and curd were discovered chilled without any labels or wrapping. At the hyderabad Chat Bhandar, food workers were also observed lacking aprons, gloves, and hairnets.
 
The task force said that the chat bhandar's premises lacked adequate doors and netting to keep out vermin. Houseflies were seen hovering within the premises, and dustbins with no lids were discovered to be open.
