Spoiled onions found at popular supermarket in Hyderabad

The food safety department officials inspected Ratnadeep Supermarket in Aakruthi Township, Boduppal, and Sri Laxmi narasimha Swamy Tiffin Centre in Rampally, secunderabad after receiving complaints through the FoSCoS app. They discovered spoilt onions for sale at both locations.
 
"Ticket No. 638257633, a complaint about Ratnadeep Supermarket in Aakruthi Township, Boduppal, was received on the FoSCoS app. According to the FSSAI Act, the responsible Food Safety Officer examined the property and found a few infractions, the department stated. It went on to state that the document of the FSSAI License was not prominently displayed.


“Medical Fitness Certificates are not available for food handlers. No FoSTaC-trained supervisor is available at the premises. Notice will be issued to the premises and further action shall be taken accordingly,” the Food Safety Department said in a post on X.

The post read,

A complaint was received on FoSCoS app vide Ticket No. 638257633 pertaining to 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 at Aakruthi Township, Boduppal.
Concerned Food Safety Officer has inspected the premises and identified few violations as per FSSAI Act.  
* Spoiled onions found in the stock kept for sale.
* FSSAI License copy not displayed at prominent place.
* Medical Fitness Certificates not available for food handlers.
* No FoSTaC trained supervisor available at the premises.
Notice will be issued to the premises and further action shall be taken accordingly.
