Telangana CM comments evoke laughter on social media

SIBY JEYYA
The poor attempt by chief minister A revanth reddy to poke fun at BRS working president KT Rama Rao by charging him with dynasty politics backfired, and his remarks are now being "celebrated" on social media as a critique of dynasty politics in the Congress.

Revanth reddy attempted to poke fun at Rama Rao during his speech in the assembly on wednesday by saying that he had not entered politics by using his father's or grandfather's name but had instead gained prominence through hard work and perseverance, working his way up from the lowest ranks, including the Zilla Parishad, to his current position as Chief Minister. He had claimed that the BRS working president had been appointed through the "management quota."

Social media went further than Rama Rao's response, which in his own unique way noted that revanth reddy had risen through the "payment quota" and advised him to be careful with his remarks at the Assembly.

The most often mentioned remark on recordings of telangana chief minister Ravindra Prabhudu's address in the assembly was, "Revanth reddy was taking a dig at his own boss rahul Gandhi." rahul Gandhi and other congress politicians were also mentioned in the comments.

Some made use of recent reports that revanth reddy was leaning towards the BJP, claiming that "he met amit shah last week and is making a sly comment on rahul Gandhi today."

Some called his speech “a message to rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejasvi Yadav”, while some had a laugh saying they were ready to translate the telugu speech for rahul Gandhi if necessary. Here is one such video that elicited hilarious comments from social media users on X:
