Nara Lokesh's Relocation Offer to IT firms amid Karnataka Quota Row
Nara Lokesh, a tdp politician and minister for andhra pradesh, extended an invitation to IT companies to "relocate businesses" to Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. After a significant outcry, the karnataka government decided to mandate a 100% quota for locals in some private employment. A day later, the government decided to put the mandate on hold, indicating it will be "revisited and decided in the coming days." Lokesh's remarks follow this decision.
In a social media post on ‘X’, the tdp MLA quickly pointed out that andhra pradesh is “ready” with the “most suitable skilled talent with no restrictions from the government”.

Nara Lokesh's comments followed Nasscom's concerns on wednesday regarding the karnataka Bill, which has been approved by the state cabinet and provides 100% private sector employment reservation for Kannadigas in Group C and D jobs. Nasscom expressed concerns that the bill could impede industry growth, negatively affect jobs, and force companies to relocate.
