BJP Failing - Another Big Jolt after Ayodhya

SIBY JEYYA
In the lok sabha Elections, the BJP's Hindutva strategy—which combines political narrative with cultural identity—has encountered some difficulties lately. Despite its focus on improving sacred sites, the bjp lost several by-elections, notably the badrinath seat.
Displeasure with VIP treatment at the shrine at badrinath, a major destination for the Char Dham pilgrimage, indicated local displeasure with the BJP's strategy. This loss comes after previous ones in ayodhya and other important areas associated with religious meaning. These setbacks make one wonder if the public is becoming less receptive to the BJP's extreme anti-Muslim Hindutva.

Despite switching parties, Rajendra Bhandari, the BJP's nominee in badrinath, was unable to get support. Lakhpat Butola of the congress won, highlighting the BJP's battle. These results underscore the changing dynamics and voter emotions that may influence future election strategies, and they also indicate a difficult period for the BJP's Hindutva-centric campaign.

These by-elections were conducted as a result of the resignations or the deaths of the MLAs. The BJP-led nda alliance is losing ground against the Congress-led india coalition in these 13 seats. The bjp can only win one seat, while the INDIA-bloc is gaining eleven. An independent candidate is gaining ground in one seat.
