An attempt to murder case has been filed against former andhra pradesh Chief minister jagan mohan reddy and two indian police service (IPS) officers, PV sunil Kumar and PSR Sitaramanjaneyulu. The case, filed by K Raghurama krishna Raju, an mla from the telugu desam party (TDP), alleges a criminal conspiracy and custodial torture against him.
In his first information report, Raju accuses reddy and the officers of plotting against him, claiming they were part of a conspiracy that led to his arrest and mistreatment in 2021. He also names retired police officer R Vijay Paul and former guntur Government General Hospital superintendent G Prabhavat in the case.
Raju alleges that during his arrest on May 14, 2021, due process was not followed. Despite having undergone recent open-heart surgery, he was allegedly subjected to physical abuse and denied necessary medical care. He further claims that false medical reports were created to cover up the abuse, implicating Prabhavat in collusion with the other accused officers.
The complaint details that Raju was arrested without a medical examination or proper legal procedures and was forcibly taken to guntur, where he was kept in the CB-CID office overnight without receiving his medication. The accusations extend to threats on his life for criticizing jagan Mohan Reddy.
